Grant Giving at the Charity of Thomas Dawson

Firstly, we really want to give away money to help people and organisations in the best way we can so, if you are not sure you or your organisation qualify, please contact us by phone or email and tell us what your need is. Here are some pointers.

The original bequest in 1521 was partly for the relief of poverty in the Parish of St Clements, Oxford. It was clear from early times, that education was a key way of relieving of poverty, developing into attendance prizes, apprenticeships, bursaries and scholarships. Nowadays, we look to support individuals in education and organisations in the provision of education and development opportunities for anybody under the age of 25 at the time of application.

Here are the ways you can get grants currently:

If you are an organisation needing funding beyond one year duration, or for any other questions, please contact the General Manager at 01865 634301 or email
